2011 convention: March

Our first convention of the year was held at the Hunton Park Hotel near Watford from 25th-27th March. The 100 guests and members booked for the weekend or for Sabbath only.

The main speaker at the event was Pastor Japhet De Oliveira, who is the Director of the Centre for Youth Evangelism at Andrews University. Japhet is an outstanding speaker, who delivers the message of Christ in the most refreshing way. We were not disappointed!

The other excellent speakers were Sam Neves (ASI-UK Chaplain and Pastor of Wimbledon Church), Victor Hulbert (Communications Director of the BUC), John Crissey (Lecturer in Strategic Management & Marketing at Newbold College and Director of London Pictures Ltd), Deborah Harris (Director of London Adventist Credit Union)and finally our after-dinner speaker, Dejan Stojkovic (Youth Pastor of Stanborough Park) who imparted both hilarious and yet profound wisdom at our Saturday night banquet in the Marquee.

Excellent music was rendered by some of our young professionals and students both during the worship services and during dinner on Saturday evening - Peter Manners-Smith, Kerhys Sterling, Geert Tap, Keren Milanovic, David Milanovic, Hellevi Nommik and Thorsteinn Olaffson, followed by an entertaining quiz from Ken Halls and Teddy Theanne.
